Are these memory effect a function of culture or language? In other words, do people behave a certain way to conform to a word that exists in a language? Or, does the culture produce people of a certain type and the language evolves to reflect the kinds of people that exist in that culture? Maybe another way of asking this quesiton is which comes first: the word that describes a cultural archetype or the cultural archetype, itself?
