| Do Saffran, et al. (1998) believe that statistical learning by infants is entirely 'experience-based'? Explain your answer. Would your answer change if you knew that infants in this kind of task show quicker/better learning for a real language (e.g., Italian by children who have never been exposed to Italian) relative to nonsense stimuli?
